Our High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation and examination program is designed to help you develop and improve your skills through effective learning techniques so you can earn an HSE certificate.

We provide both individualized and group instruction in a friendly and open learning environment, helping you improve your reading, writing, math, and computer skills. We assist you in all aspects of exam preparation, including study skills and test-taking strategies, to insure your success. We also can help you transition into college after you earn your HSE certificate.

Benefits and Outcomes

Once you have enrolled in the program and completed your orientation, we’ll give you a comprehensive set of assessments to determine your current basic skills. After processing the assessments, we’ll determine which areas need attention to prepare you to take the HSE or ACT® or ACCUPLACER® exams. We will not spend time working on skills you already have.

You’ll continue to learn at your own pace with guidance and assistance from our instructors. When you and your instructor agree you’re ready, you can either complete an application for the final HSE test, or you can sign up for the ACT, ASSET, or TOEFL exams.

How do I sign up?

Our AEL and HSE programs have a managed registration and orientation that consists of six-week sessions throughout the year. Contact our office for enrollment information.
