The Fast Track Workforce Incentive Grant is a financial aid program that addresses workforce needs by encouraging adults to pursue a certificate, degree, or industry-recognized credential in an area designated as high need. www.sfccmo.edu/fasttrack
Eligibility:
-Individuals who are 25 or older or individuals who have not been enrolled in any school within the last two years can participate.
-The program will serve students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree and are planning to enroll part-time or full-time.
-Individuals who make no more than $40,000 per year, filing single, or not more than $80,000, filing jointly.

State Fair Community College is partnering with Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT) to host its first summer manufacturing camp June 13-17 in the new Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center on the Sedalia campus. Inspiring the Next Generation of Makers & Innovators, is open to students 12 to 16 years of age. The five-day camp will start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. The last day to register is May 27. The State Fair Community College Board of Trustees approved the closing of college offices at noon on Fridays in June and July for 2022 through 2024, allowing for coordination with the 2022-2024 academic calendar. This summer modification applies to college offices located on all SFCC campuses.

Radiologic Technology second year students at State Fair Community College voted Russell Dedrick, a technologist at Bothwell Regional Health Center, as the Clinical Instructor of the Year. Dedrick was one of the first students to graduate from SFCC’s program. His daughter Katlynne Dedrick who graduated May 13 from SFCC’s Radiologic Technology program presented the award to him.
The SFCC Radiologic Technology program recently presented Grace Sloan of Marshall the Lambda Nu Academic Achievement Award. Sloan earned a 4.0 GPA during the entire time she has been in the program, possesses a high work ethic and is self-motivated to be the best at any task.

Five SFCC Radiologic Technology students were recently inducted into the Imaging Sciences National Honor Society, Lambda Nu. The purpose of the Missouri Theta chapter of Lambda Nu is to foster academic scholarship at the highest academic levels, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences, and recognize exemplary scholarship.
These students earned this honor by having a professional course GPA of 3.7 or higher, an active membership in a professional organization and actively enrolled in a radiology or imaging science program. The students inducted were, from left, Grace Sloan of Marshall, Nathan Nall of Lake Ozark, Nate Walsh of Smithton, Connor Hughes of Osage Beach, and Nicole Hockett of Warsaw.
