Tutoring Services

Sometimes, you need a little extra help. In the Academic Success Center, we offer free tutoring in nearly every subject. Online tutoring also is available! We’ll help you figure out what’s slowing you down, and get your educational goals back on track.


Counseling Services

Starting college can be overwhelming. When you need support, we offer free confidential short- and long-term counseling services to help you overcome obstacles and grow academically and personally. A licensed clinical social worker is ready to talk.


Career Services

Feeling anxious about your future? We’re here to help make your career development process exciting, not stressful! We offer career advising, assistance with job searches and personalized help with résumés, cover letters and interview preparation.

SFCC’s Tutoring Services will offer two FREE workshops Jan. 4, 5 and 8-10 to SFCC students. The five-session workshops will provide a refresher over math concepts before classes start Jan. 16.

The Pre-Algebra Skills workshop (8-10 a.m. in Yeater 128) is great for students who plan to take the ATI TEAS Test (concepts presented are similar to those in the math portion of the test).

The Algebra Review workshop (2-4 p.m. in Yeater 136) is a refresh that covers solving and graphing linear equations, basic operations with polynomials, factoring polynomials, simplifying rational expression, simplifying expressions with radicals, and solving quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square and the quadratic equation.
