SFCC’s Tutoring Services will offer two FREE workshops Jan. 4, 5 and 8-10 to SFCC students. The five-session workshops will provide a refresher over math concepts before classes start Jan. 16.

The Pre-Algebra Skills workshop (8-10 a.m. in Yeater 128) is great for students who plan to take the ATI TEAS Test (concepts presented are similar to those in the math portion of the test).

The Algebra Review workshop (2-4 p.m. in Yeater 136) is a refresh that covers solving and graphing linear equations, basic operations with polynomials, factoring polynomials, simplifying rational expression, simplifying expressions with radicals, and solving quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square and the quadratic equation.

For more information about the workshops and to register, go to www.sfccmo.edu/tutoring and click Free Workshops. Registration is limited to 24 students, so register early to secure your spot!

May your stuffing be tasty, your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes and gravy not have a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off your thighs!
