The State Fair Community College Music Arts program will present its winter band and vocal concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at First United Methodist Church, 916 Thompson Blvd. in Sedalia. Admission is free.
The SFCC Concert Band, directed by instructor Joe Schreimann, will open the evening with seasonal favorites including Holiday Favorites arranged by Paul Lavender, Tidings of Comfort and Joy by James Swearingen, A Festive Holiday Celebration by Larry Neeck, Mary, Did You Know arranged by James Meredith, and All I Want for Christmas Is You arranged by Larry Kerchner.
The Chamber Choir, directed by Dr. Christopher Kindle and accompanied by Cheryl McCollester, will perform Angels We Have Heard on High arranged by Craig Courtney, O Nata Lux by Victor C. Johnson, We Three Kings of Orient Are arranged by Philip Lawson, and Love’s Pure Light (Silent Night) by Elaine Hagenberg. Instrumentalists supporting the choir include Alex Sonnik (violin I), Shariana Martin (violin II), Damaris Focsa (viola), Alyssa Sonnik (cello), Imani Welch (flute), Cindy Decker (oboe), and Russ Schupp (timpani).
