Below are some of the important dates for campus housing need to be aware of throughout the academic year. The dates below may be subject to change.
Important Dates

Fall 2025
- August 15 and 16-Campus Housing opens at 10:00 am for the Move-In process.
- August 15– Meal plans begin with weekend hours at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- August 18 – Fall 2025 semester begins (16-week and first-eight-week classes).
- August 27 – Welcome Back Bash 10:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- September 1 – Labor Day (SFCC classes and offices closed)
- Brunch and dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- October 13-17 – Fall Break (SFCC class not in session; offices closed on Friday, October 17).
- Meal plan service will continue October 13-16.
- October 17-19 Brunch and Dinner will be served.
- November 11-Veterans Day (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Brunch and dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- November 26 – 30 – Thanksgiving Break (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, or request permission to remain in assigned room during the Break.
- No meal plan service during Break.
- November 30 – Campus Housing re-opens at 1:00 pm.
- Dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- December 12 – End of Fall 2025 semester/Winter Break. Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, December 12, or request permission in writing to remain in the assigned room during the Break.
- Students must be enrolled in Spring Classes and be in good standing with the College to stay over Winter Break.
- No meal plan service during Break.

Spring 2026
- January 17 and 18– Campus Housing opens at 10:00 am for the Move-In process.
- January 17 – Meal plans begin with weekend hours at the Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- January 19 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (SFCC classes and offices7 closed)
- Brunch and Dinner Served
- January 20– Spring 2026 semester begins (16-week and first-eight-week classes).
- February 16 – President’s Day (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Brunch and Dinner served
- March 1– Housing Application opens for the next academic year.
- March 13 – Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm. Or request permission in the assigned room during Spring Break.
- March 16-20–Spring Break (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- No meal plan service during Spring Break.
- March 22– Campus Housing re-opens at 1:00 pm.
- Dinner served in Stauffacher Cafeteria.
- April 3– Spring Holiday (SFCC classes and offices closed).
- Brunch and Dinner served
- May 15 – End of Spring 2026 semester.
- Student-residents are expected to check out of campus housing no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, May 15.
