The Federal Work Study program is designed to help undergraduate students with financial need meet educational expenses through meaningful employment. These positions can range from clerical work to food service to instructor’s assistant. Students are paid at least the current federal minimum wage and work a maximum of 17 hours per week.  Only currently enrolled students may be employed in this program.

GETTING STARTED

1) Fill out the FAFSA. You must have a completed FAFSA and financial aid file to qualify for Federal Work Study.

2) Review Positions. To get started, click here to review current student job opportunities.

3) Complete an Application.  After reviewing the available positions, click APPLY and you will be directed to the job application. If you want to apply for more positions, you will need to fill out additional applications.

4) Follow-up with the Department.  We encourage you to take note of the departments to which you have applied and follow-up with them within a week of submitting your job application. Remember: You must apply for a federal work study position, interview, accept a job offer, and then work to earn the funds as a paycheck!
