Sedalia, Missouri – Feb. 15, 2024 – High school seniors who choose to enroll in Technical Education or Health Science programs at State Fair Community College in the fall are invited to participate in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day at 10 a.m. April 17 in Stauffacher Theatre on the Sedalia campus.
Participating in Career and Technical Education Letter of Intent Signing Day is a way to recognize and celebrate students who are committing to pursue higher education at SFCC.
Students who wish to participate on April 17 need to apply for admission to SFCC and have submitted a Signing Day registration form no later than March 31. For students pursuing a health science occupation, admission to SFCC is not automatic acceptance into the program. Health Science programs require completing a second, program-specific application; however, completing a health science application is not required to participate in Signing Day. SFCC offers technical programs in HVAC/R, agriculture, automotive, accounting, business and office management, computer programming, network administration and information systems, criminal justice, fire science, early childhood development, digital media communications, construction management, engineering and architectural design, electrical and industrial maintenance, robotics, machining, and welding.
The college recently completed the renovations to the Fielding Technology Center, which expands the industrial electrical maintenance program and accommodates the new heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) program. The college has also broken ground on the new center that will be the home of advanced agriculture and transportation technology, located on the west side of the Sedalia campus.
SFCC’s health science careers include behavioral health support, dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonography, health information technology, medical assisting, medical laboratory technician, nurse aide, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, radiologic technology, and surgical technology

For students who want to transfer and pursue a bachelor’s degree, SFCC offers Associate of Arts, Associate of Arts in Teaching, Associate of Fine Arts (visual and performing), and Associate of Science in Chemistry or Engineering programs.
