Upward Boundis a federally funded pre-college academic, cultural, and social enrichment opportunity targeting firstbgeneration, low-income, and academically at-risk high school students (grades 9-12). Grant funded through the U.S. Department of Education's TRIO Programs, SFCC has two Upward Bound programs: the Sedalia program is a partnership between SFCC and Smith-Cotton High School, serving 50+ students; while the LOZ program partners with Camdenton High School and Eldon High School, serving 60+ students. Through extensive programming opportunities, the goal of the UB program is to assist students successfully complete high school and enroll in and complete a program of post-secondary study.
