The Missouri Small Business Development Center (MOSBDC) at State Fair Community College will host a Facebook and Instagram Social Media Marketing workshop 1-4 p.m. May 15 in Fielding Technical Center on the SFCC Sedalia campus. Canvas Suites, LLC is sponsoring the workshop.
Leveraging the power of social media networks can be the key to achieving a business’s marketing and branding goals. Workshop objectives include developing a social media plan, creating Facebook and Instagram profiles, designing media posts using Canva and customer relationship management programs (Mailchimp, Hootsuite, etc.), and examining social media trends.
Participants will learn how and when to update Facebook profiles and cover photos, schedule posts and events, and use messenger and live-stream tools. How to create Instagram visual content and the differences between Instagram private and direct message tools will be discussed.
Cost is $39 per person. Participants must bring a mobile device, preferably a laptop, to the workshop.
