Bethany Pfeiffer, State Fair Community College Boonville campus director, was named the 2026 Outstanding Employee of the Year by her peers during the college’s employee recognition dinner in June. Pfeiffer has served as director of the SFCC-Boonville campus since 2018.
Pfeiffer’s colleagues describe her as a dependable, student-centered leader who consistently goes above and beyond to support students, faculty and staff. They praised her professionalism, positive attitude, reliability and willingness to step in wherever she is needed, whether assisting with Slate, supporting enrollment and retention initiatives, helping colleagues navigate new systems, filling in to support admissions or taking on additional responsibilities during challenging times.
According to her nomination, Pfeiffer’s strong problem-solving skills, extensive institutional knowledge and commitment to student success have strengthened operations at the Boonville campus while enhancing the experience of students and employees across the college. Colleagues also recognized her collaborative approach, noting that she is always willing to help others and contributes to the success of the institution well beyond the scope of her position.
The Outstanding Employee of the Year award recognizes one employee who demonstrates excellence in job performance, exemplifies the college’s mission and values, promotes continuous improvement, maintains high standards of professionalism and fosters positive relationships throughout the college and surrounding communities. Employees submit nominations to Human Resources, and a review panel evaluates each nomination based on established award criteria.
This year, 11 employees were nominated for the award. Kristy Woolery, director of Academic and Career Connections, and Danielle Beumer, director of Radiologic Technology, were recognized as finalists.
