Amy McFarland has stepped into her new role as director of the State Fair Community College (SFCC) Clinton extended campus. McFarland, who joined SFCC in 2022, brings extensive experience and fosters a family-like environment for students, staff, and faculty.

“I love the Clinton campus because it’s unique,” McFarland said. “It’s very personal, like a family.”

Previously an academic coach and site coordinator at SFCC-Clinton, McFarland worked closely with students to help them achieve their educational goals. Now, as director, she oversees campus operations, supports students and faculty, and engages with the community.

Originally from Indiana, McFarland earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Anderson University and a Master of Arts in forensic psychology from Argosy University in Washington, D.C. Her career has included roles in education, criminal justice, and social services. Before moving to Clinton in 2022, McFarland spent 13 years in St. Louis, working in higher education at St. Louis Christian College. These experiences have shaped her leadership philosophy, emphasizing collaboration and student success.

“Having worked with and served communities in so many ways, I’ve always been passionate about helping people succeed,” McFarland said.

In her new position, McFarland is committed to maintaining the Clinton campus’s close-knit atmosphere while driving student achievement and contributing to workforce and economic growth in the region.
