A fun, casual evening of fine dining and a live auction is planned for the State Fair Community College Foundation’s annual gala, Where Champions Compete & Community Gathers, on Saturday, March 28 at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

The gala is open to the public and will raise funds for the Foundation’s Athletic Complex Capital Campaign.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with cocktails and appetizers, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m., a dessert dash and a live auction. SFCC Board of Trustees member Justin Hubbs will serve as master of ceremonies. Garber Auctioneer will conduct the live auction.

“We are excited to welcome the community to this year’s gala, Where Champions Compete & Community Gathers, as we continue building momentum for the Athletic Complex,” said Mary Treuner, SFCC Foundation executive director. “This transformational project will provide dedicated facilities for baseball, softball, soccer, and track and field, creating opportunities for our student-athletes to grow, compete and succeed.”

Tickets are $125 per person and may be purchased through the SFCC Foundation Office. Individuals, groups or businesses may reserve tables of 10 for $1,250. Casual or sports attire is suggested. Parking is available in front of the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
