Members of the State Fair Community College Board of Trustees and Executive Leadership Team along with the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce and other community dignitaries and stakeholders hosted a ribbon cutting Sept. 1 to celebrate the college’s expansion into the renovated Science Building on The Kemper Campus.
SFCC Boonville Director Kinsey Dona Feldmann (front left), SFCC President Dr. Joanna Anderson (center) and Boonville Mayor Julie Thacher (right) conducted the ceremony.
Thacher thanked the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and the city of Boonville for their financial support and expressed appreciation to everyone who helped with the project. She said the expansion creates “pathways for friends and neighbors to improve their lives” and preserves the historical value of The Kemper Campus. Anderson applauded the efforts of the mayor, city council and administrators and recognized the strong partnership between the Boonville community and SFCC.
