State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer a 12-hour advanced Hobby Welding course 5:30-8:30 p.m. May 22-25 in Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center on the Sedalia campus. Cost is $199 per person.
The advanced course will expand welding skills and proficiencies beyond The LearningForce’s beginner course. Participants must have basic welding knowledge and experience. Participants will be introduced to TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, also known as GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding. Participants will practice techniques to elevate competency and build small, instructor approved, projects.
Participants must wear leather shoes, long-sleeve denim or cotton shirts, and bring their own welding hoods, all-leather gloves and safety glasses.
