Helping Keep the SFCC Community Safe

The Safety & Security Office at State Fair Community College is committed to providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, employees, and visitors. We work closely with local emergency responders and campus partners to help ensure that every SFCC campus remains a place where learning can thrive.

Whether you need to report a concern, respond to an emergency, or find campus safety resources, our team is here to help.

Emergency Assistance

If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 immediately.

If using a campus phone, dial 911 or 9911. Calling from a campus phone automatically provides your location to the emergency dispatcher.

When speaking with the dispatcher, be prepared to provide:

  • Your campus location
  • The building name
  • The room number

After contacting 911, notify Campus Safety & Security as soon as it is safe to do so.

Reporting a Crime

Maintaining a safe campus is a shared responsibility.

Students, employees, and visitors are encouraged to report crimes, suspicious activity, or safety concerns as soon as possible. Prompt reporting helps the college respond quickly, support those involved, and maintain a safe learning environment for the entire SFCC community.

Reports may be submitted anonymously. However, providing your contact information may help the college investigate and respond more effectively.

Report a Non-Emergency Concern

Campus Safety & Security is available to assist with non-emergency safety concerns and security issues.

Examples include:

  • Burned-out exterior lights
  • Blocked emergency exits
  • Downed power lines
  • Objects obstructing sidewalks or roadways
  • Damaged or stolen personal property
  • Safety concerns or suggestions
  • Concerning or threatening behavior

To report a non-emergency concern:

If your concern involves facility maintenance, such as lighting, sidewalks, or building access, you may also contact the Facilities Team at (660) 596-7432.
