State Fair Community College (SFCC) The LearningForce will offer School Bus Driver Training from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 8 and again on July 17 in the Thompson Conference Center, located in the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center on SFCC’s Sedalia campus.
The full-day training session is for licensed school bus drivers who need to obtain an annual quality re-certification required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Training topics include general school transportation statistics, loading zones, bus driver safety, liability issues facing transportation, maintaining a safe school bus environment, crisis response, mental health and wellness, and reasonable suspicion.
The cost is $25 for the full-day session per person. A lunch break is scheduled; lunch is not provided.
