Sedalia, Missouri  Feb. 28, 2022 –State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer “Learn to Lead: Transitioning from Peer to Supervisor” workforce training series from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays April 5 through May 10. Class size is limited, and March 28 is registration deadline. 

This leadership course teaches participants skills to solve real workplace challenges and the knowledge to become successful supervisors. Trainees will learn how to communicate more effectively, be flexible yet firm; build trust and gain respect; resolve conflict; motivate co-workers; manage time and set priorities, and more. This course is recommended for aspiring, soon-to-be supervisors as well as supervisors and managers with little or no formal supervisory training. 

Participants will complete a leadership develop plan, and their director supervisors will be expected to attend the first hour of training on April 5 as well as the last hour of the May 10 session. Cost is $599 per person. Missouri One Start grant funds may be applicable to cover the cost of the course.
