SEDALIA—State Fair Community College is seeking donations of quality used women’s and men’s clothing for the 12th annual “Hire Attire” professional clothing sale.

Hire Attire was created to provide affordable professional clothing for SFCC students who are working or about to enter the workforce.

Donations of business and business casual attire will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 25 in the Thompson Conference Center in the Heckart Center on the Sedalia campus. Items requested include jackets, slacks, shirts, ties, blouses, skirts, suits, dresses, sweaters and accessories.

The Hire Attire sale will be open to SFCC students from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 27 and will feature an outdoor fashion show at noon on Lamm’s Landing in front of the Stauffacher Center for the Fine Arts. In case of inclement weather, the show will be in the Yeater Learning Center lobby.

The sale will open to the public from 4:30-7:30 p.m. April 27 and from 8 a.m. to noon April 28 in the Thompson Conference Center.

Each item will cost $2 on April 27 and $1 on April 28.

The Business programs and the SFCC chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, an organization for college business students, are event sponsors. Proceeds will fund student scholarships. Cash donations also are accepted.

A fundraiser is being held in conjunction with the Hire Attire sale for the Jo Perusich Memorial Lectureship Fund through the SFCC Foundation. A drawing will be held for a Louis Vuitton handbag valued at $700, a Vera Bradley tablet hipster and a Vera Bradley briefcase, each valued at $50. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased now at the SFCC Campus Store and during the sale. Three winners will be drawn at noon April 28.

Perusich was an SFCC business instructor who was an avid supporter and active participant in the Hire Attire sale for many years and who used the sale as a teaching opportunity with students in her marketing classes.
