SEDALIA—State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer a variety of enrichment and professional development classes beginning in early December.
• Introduction to Microsoft Outlook will meet from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 2 in Fielding Technical Center, Room 226A. Students will learn to manage emails, create folders, manage contacts, and use Outlook calendar features. Cost is $99; instructor is Dr. Brenda Bryan.
• Yoga classes will meet from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday for four weeks beginning Dec. 2 in Hopkins Student Services Center, Room 714, and from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday for four weeks beginning Dec. 3 in Fielding Technical Center, Room 255. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat or rug. Cost is $39 for eight sessions; instructor is Irene Renauld.
• Yogalates, a fusion of yoga and Pilates, will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for four weeks beginning Dec. 3 in Hopkins Student Center, Room 714. It offers stretching and strengthening of all major muscles and calms the mind and spirit. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat. Cost is $39; instructor is Sue Guffin.
A 15 percent discount is applied if enrolling in three or more exercise sessions.
• Making High Quality Decisions will meet from 1-5 p.m. Dec. 10 in Fielding Technical Center, Room 253. Sound decision-making requires analyzing potential problems or opportunities and basing judgments on that analysis. The course teaches a logical decision-making process that results in high-quality business decisions. Participants will develop the skills and confidence to generate options and compare them to important decision criteria to select the best course of action. Cost is $99; instructor is Roy Dietzman.
