Sedalia, Missouri  Dec. 21, 2021 –The State Fair Community College Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Ditzfeld to its board of directors. The board currently has 20 members.

Ditzfeld, a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is vice president of Ditzfeld Transfer, Inc. located in Sedalia, one of the Midwest’s leading transportation, warehouse and distribution service providers. It is a family owned and operated company that includes residential and commercial container and trash services and charter bus services. He and wife Lisa have a son, Lincoln, and a daughter, Kennedi.

In accepting the position, Ditzfeld said his desire to serve on the foundation’s board is to keep the legacy of his late father, Ron Ditzfeld, alive. His father was very much involved in the community, and he also served on the foundation’s board of directors for a number of years. Ditzfeld will serve a three-year term.

“I am so pleased and proud to welcome Sam to the foundation,” said Mary Treuner, foundation executive director. “We know that Sam, like his father, has a passion for community involvement and helping all sorts of organizations to be successful. We look forward to seeing Sam leave his own mark on the great things SFCC is doing to provide opportunities for our students and to help our community grow and prosper.”
