SEDALIA—Offices on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus will close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept 29 for College and Career Day. Day classes will be canceled, but classes that start at 5 p.m. or later will be held.

College and Career Day is held annually for high school students, counselors and sponsors. This year’s theme is “Full Steam Ahead.” Students will hear presentations by area business leaders and faculty that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Humanities, and Math. They also can visit with representatives from more than 40 colleges and universities, trade schools and military services. Nearly 2,500 high school students have already registered to attend.

The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art and the State Fair Career Technology Center will be open regular hours on Sept. 29.
