Sedalia, Missouri  June 11, 2021 – Members of the Boonville community and surrounding area are invited to join State Fair Community College President Dr. Joanna Anderson, 11 members of the college’s Executive Leadership Team and Boonville campus staff for refreshments, conversation and to tour the college on the historic Kemper Campus from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 21, in Room 210. The Kemper Campus is at 701 Third Street, Boonville. The college’s main campus is in Sedalia.

In 2012, the city of Boonville asked SFCC to open a campus on the former Kemper Military School campus to serve the higher educational needs of the community and surrounding area. The military school served the community from 1844 until 2002. After some remodeling, SFCC opened the Boonville campus in August 2012. More renovations took place in 2016 in the Science Hall to add classrooms, computer and science labs, a student lounge, a workroom, and offices.

Areas of study offered on the Boonville campus include Associate of Arts degree for transfer to a four-year college and Associate of Applied Science, Professional Certificate and Skills Certificate in Medical Assisting. Free Adult Education and Literacy classes are offered for those who want to prepare to take the High School Equivalency exam.

For more information about the Boonville campus, visit www.sfccmo.edu/boonville. Enrollment is open for fall classes that begin Aug. 23. Application for admission is free.
