State Fair Community College’s Radiologic Technology program is accepting applications for Computed Tomography (CT) training courses. These courses can increase students’ technical skills and job opportunities by preparing them to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification exam.

Comprehensive CT Course for Technologists, an online five-credit hour course, begins Jan. 16. This course covers patient care, safety, image production and procedures.

CT Clinical Education, a four-credit hour course, begins June 4. Students practice classroom skills and patient care while demonstrating professionalism and competency at an arranged clinic site close to home.

Eligible applicants must be registered radiologic technologists or registry eligible or second-year radiology students attending an accredited radiology program with a 2.75 GPA or above for each semester of radiology specific course work. Applicants may choose to enroll in one or both courses based on their needs.

Application materials are available at www.sfccmo.edu/radiologic-technology and must be submitted at least one month prior to course start date to be considered for the course semester. If class is full, applicants will be considered for the next available class offered. The first 12 students who meet eligibility requirements with complete applications will be invited to join the upcoming course.
