State Fair Community College’s Nursing Club will host a fundraiser from 5-9 p.m. April 3 at El Tapatio Authentic Mexican Restaurant, 3000 S. Limit, in Sedalia.
A percentage of the sales and tips during the evening will go to the Karen Lybarger Aspiring Nurse Scholarship that is awarded in the fall and spring to a Practical Nursing student. Lybarger, who worked as a ward clerk at Bothwell Hospital, established the endowed scholarship, and the Nursing Club continues to grow the corpus through fundraisers to honor her memory.
