Sedalia, Missouri  May 10, 2022 – The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College, The LearningForce and University of Central Missouri will host a no-cost Electric Arc Safety training 2-5 p.m. May 24 in Yeater Learning Center, Room 148, on the Sedalia campus. The training was developed and funded under OSHA Susan Harwood Grant and is available only to participants from small businesses (250 employees or less). Seating is limited, and registration is required. 

This interactive training provides participants with knowledge of electric arc behavior and injury prevention by using laboratory and real-life arc videos. Participants will learn the different types of electric arcs and hazards and the fundamentals of protection. Upon successful completion of the training and evaluations, participants will receive training certificates in accordance with the OSHA grant requirements.
