Web access to Email

STEP 1

Start by logging into mySFCC.

STEP 2

Once logged in, select the email icon at the top right of the page.

STEP 3

After selecting the email icon, you will be redirected to your student email login screen. Use your user name (first name initial + last name and possibly a number  for example rroadrunner1) and password to log into your student email account.

Set up Microsoft Exchange Email on an Android

STEP 1

From the Applications menu, select the Email or Mail option.

STEP 2

Type your full email address and your password, and then select Next.

STEP 3

Select Exchange account. This option may be named Exchange ActiveSync.

STEP 4

Enter your account information as required (see above) and select Next.

STEP 5

As soon as your phone verifies the server settings, the Account Options screen displays. The options depend on the version of Android on your device.

STEP 6

Select Next after choosing the appropriate options and then type a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send email to others. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account.

Set up Microsoft Exchange Email on an Apple iPhone & iPad

STEP 1

Select Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.

STEP 2

Select Microsoft Exchange.

STEP 3

Type the required information in the fields as requested (see above).

STEP 4

Select Next on the upper-right corner of the screen.

STEP 5

In the Server box, enter the server name (see above) and choose Next.

STEP 6

Choose the type of information you want to synchronize between your account and your device, and then Save. By default, Mail, Contacts, and Calendar information are synchronized.

STEP 7

If you’re prompted to create a passcode, tap Continue and type a numeric passcode.

NOTE:

Focused Inbox for Outlook

Focused Inbox separates your inbox into two tabs—Focused and Other. Your most important email messages are on the Focused tab while the rest remain easily accessible—but out of the way—on the Other tab.

Fix for Outlook Searching Issues

STEP 1

Right click on the Windows Icon in the lower left hand corner and type add or remove programs and hit Enter.

Click on Programs and Features on the right hand side.

Find and click on Microsoft Office 2016 in the list.

Click Change.

Select Repair then follow the prompts.

Depending on the quantity of mail this may take some time.

STEP 1

On Start, swipe left to the App list, select Settings, and then select email + accounts.

STEP 2

Select add an account > Outlook.

STEP 3

Enter your email address and password, and then select Sign in. Windows Phone will try to set up your email account automatically.

STEP 4

If your email account can’t be set up automatically, you’ll see the message, “We couldn’t find your settings”. Select Advanced. Enter the appropriate fields as needed from above.

STEP 5

Select the Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection box.

STEP 6

Select Sign in.

STEP 7

Select OK if Exchange ActiveSync asks you to enforce policies or set a password.
