SEDALIA—The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art on the State Fair Community College Sedalia campus will sponsor a 10-day travel program to the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Kyoto March 9-18, 2017. It is open to the public.

The tour will focus on the cultural, spiritual and aesthetic traditions of Japan’s ancient imperial capitals. The trip includes all motorcoach and air transportation; eight nights in first-class hotels in Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto; train travel between cities; daily breakfast buffet, seven lunches and three dinners; and guided sightseeing tours of shrines, temples, monuments, museums, Zen gardens, national parks, Japanese architecture and more.

Trip leaders will be Daum Museum Director Tom Piché and SFCC art instructor Paul Allen.

Cost is $5,299 per person, based on double occupancy, which includes a $200 charitable donation to the Daum Museum. The supplement price for a single room is $950. Space is limited; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. A $1,500 deposit is required to hold a space. Reservations are being taken now; deadline is Dec. 8.
