Convocation 2024
All-Employee Meeting on Friday, Aug. 16.
We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing summer as we gear up for what is sure to be an amazing academic year. Please mark your calendars, as Dr. Bates will be hosting two all-employee meetings on Friday, August 16. Each of our employees is required to attend one of these two sessions. The first session will be at 10 am and the second at 1 pm; both will be held in the Stauffacher Theatre. Please note that the academic schedule originally stated that these meetings would occur on August 14 but have been changed to August 16.
We understand this will be a very busy day for everyone around the campus as students, faculty, and staff are preparing for the start of the new semester. With this in mind, we ask each office to please remain open and available for customers. Supervisors should split staff amongst the two meeting times and lunch so no office needs to close on this day. Also, extended campuses are encouraged to tune into the Zoom link, which will be provided to extended campus sites and remote employees to minimize the impact on customers.
Finally, lunch will be provided in the cafeteria that day from 11 am to 1 pm, compliments of the President’s Office!
Thanks to You!
“Thanks to You!” – State Fair Community College’s Employee-to-Employee Recognition Program:
Often times, a small “Thank You” goes a very long way! Please consider participating in a new project brought to you by our employees, for our employees. This project hopes to recognize our colleagues for the small things that mean a lot to others. The process is quick and easy…just follow the steps below and watch the recognition list populate on our MySFCC Portal.
1.Log into the MySFCC Portal
2.Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Thanks to You Employee Recognition Program
3.Click on “Submit a colleague to be recognized as part of Thanks to You here” Link
4.Complete the form and submit for recognition
Each submission will go to the employee and their supervisor. The employee will then decide whether they would like it posted to the MySFCC Portal to be visible to everyone. They may also choose to keep the recognition private for themselves. Either way, I’m certain they will be elated for the recognition!
