SEDALIA—State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will hold an information session about the college’s commercial truck driving academy from 1-2 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Missouri Job Center, 215 E. Fifth St., in Sedalia.

Instructor Gary Willis will talk about the four-week program and its benefits, including a three-to-one student/instructor ratio, 160 hours of drive time and career placement assistance.

The job outlook for commercial drivers, based on data from O*NET, an occupation information resource center sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment & Training Administration, projects 404,450 job openings through 2024. Median annual wages nationwide in 2015 were $40,260.
