Am I Eligible to Take Dual Credit Courses at SFCC?
To be eligible to take dual credit courses at SFCC, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a senior or junior with a 2.5 equivalent GPA or better and have permission from your counselor or principal, or
- Be a sophomore with a 3.0 equivalent GPA or better and have a permission from your counselor or principal, or
- Be a freshman with a 3.0 equivalent GPA or better, a subscore in the 90th percentile of a course’s subject area, and have permission from your counselor or principal; and
- Have appropriate placement scores for math, reading and writing on tests such as ACT®, ACT Compass® or ACCUPLACER®.
Permission of parent or guardian is required if you are younger than 18.

If You are Eligible, Follow These Easy Steps to Apply!
Step 1 – Complete the online application.
Step 2 – Review the list of courses that may be offered at your high school. Check with your counselor for specific available courses.
Step 4 – Return both completed forms to your high school counselor for GPA verification and signature.
Step 5 – Review the Dual Credit Student and Parent Guidebook for important details about being a successful dual credit student!
You will receive an invoice for tuition one to two weeks after the enrollment deadline.
