Many of SFCC’s health science courses and programs require a separate application in addition to the online admissions application. Admission to the college does not guarantee entrance into a particular course or program. Selection for some programs is competitive, and screenings and prerequisites may be required. Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program – Year Two and Advanced Placement
This program starts in August and January at the Sedalia campus, in August at the Clinton campus, and in January at the Eldon campus. LPNs are eligible to apply for advanced placement at each of these three campuses.
Licensed Paramedics and LPN’s are eligible to apply for advanced placement at the Clinton campus where the format is web conference hybrid.
Applications are reviewed monthly for acceptance when all requirements are met and received. Accepted students are assigned the next available seat.
Practical Nursing (PN) Program – Year One
At the Sedalia campus, the day program starts in August and January. The program also starts in January at the Eldon campus and is offered during the daytime.

Dental Hygiene
This program starts in August, and application deadline is typically in early March.
Medical Assisting
This program starts in August, and application deadline is typically in early March.
Missouri Health Professions Consortium Medical Laboratory Technician
This program starts in August, and application deadline is typically in May. You are required to submit all application materials to the Missouri Health Professions Consortium MLT admissions office in Mexico, Missouri by the deadline.
Missouri Health Professions Consortium Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
This program starts in January, and application deadline is typically in May. You are required to submit all application materials to the Missouri Health Professions Consortium OTA Program office in Columbia by the deadline.
Radiologic Technology
This program starts in August, and application deadline is typically in early March.
Computed Tomography (CT) Courses
The CT course is a 16-week, five-credit-hour course offered online during fall and spring semesters and does not apply toward a degree. It is designed for second-year radiology students attending an accredited program, students who are industry eligible, and current radiologic technologists who want to prepare for post-primary certification and registration in Computed Tomography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
CT Clinics is a six-credit-hour course offered during the summer for completion of all required exams prior to registry.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
This program starts in August, and application deadline is typically in early March. The program includes Cardiac Sonography courses as a focused track.
Phlebotomy Course
Applications for the Phlebotomy course are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Courses
Applications for CMT courses are accepted on an ongoing basis. You must have worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant in the state of Missouri for six months to be eligible to enroll in CMT courses.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Courses
Applications for CNA courses are accepted on an ongoing basis.
