Q. Where do I get a student ID?
A. At the Student Services Office front desk, SSO is located in the Hopkins Student Services Center. Throughout the semester, IDs are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasionally, student IDs are made available at extended campus sites. These occasions will be announced at those sites.
Q. What is the first/last day of classes?
A. Summer session begins June 2 and ends July 24. The fall semester begins Aug. 18 and ends Dec. 15.
Q. What are the hours of the Multipurpose Center walking track?
A. MPC regular hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Closed Saturday and Sunday; check posting for games or events, walking is not permitted during those times.
MPC summer hours (May 15 to Aug. 20) are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday; check posting for games or events, walking is not permitted during those times.

Q. Where can I get tickets for the play?
A. In the Stauffacher Box Office, which is located in the Stauffacher Center for the Fine Arts and is open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may also order by calling extension 7387 on campus. The direct line for the box office is (660) 530-5814. You may also send an e-mail to tickets@sfccmo.edu. Please note that tickets for events held in the Stauffacher Theatre are available two weeks prior to the event date.
Q. Is the library open on Saturdays?
A. No. Library hours, unless otherwise posted, are Mon.-Thurs., 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Sunday, 4:30 to 8:30 pm. The direct line for the library is (660) 530-5842.
Q. What is the difference between an AA degree and an AAS degree?
A. The Associate of Arts degree (AA) is designed for students who wish to transfer to a college or university and complete a baccalaureate degree. The Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) is designed for students studying in career and technical fields and who plan to enter the workforce immediately following completion. Though designed primarily to prepare students for employment, some AAS degrees transfer to some colleges and universities. Students seeking transfer of AAS degree credits should seek guidance from their academic advisers and the transfer institutions.
Q. What is Blackboard?
A. Blackboard is software that is used to deliver instructional materials online. All online courses at SFCC utilize Blackboard, as do many courses offered in traditional classrooms. Students do not have to purchase the software, but have access through their technology fees.
