The Spring 2015 Priority Graduation Application Date is November 12, 2014.
The last date to apply to walk in Commencement is May 8, 2015 at noon.
STEP 1: APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION
If you will complete your degree (Associate of Arts, Associate of Arts in Teaching, Associate of Science, or Associate of Applied Science) or certificate (Professional or Skills) in July 2014, December 2014, or May 2015, you will be a May 2015 candidate for graduation. You should complete the 2015 Application for Graduation form when you enroll for your last semester of classes at SFCC.
Your signature on this form verifies you have completed Step 2 below and are ON YOUR WAY to completion.
STEP 2: REQUIRED DEGREE AUDIT
- Login to mySTAR
- Click the Student Tab
- Access the Degree Works channel
- Review your audit to determine that your major and catalog year are correct. If either is incorrect then you will need to submit a Change of Major/Catalog Year form.
- Review your audit to determine if all course requirements show complete or in progress. If you have questions contact your academic advisor.
- Print your audit to submit to the Academic Records and Registrar Office with your Application for Graduation
STEP 3: SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION AND AUDIT
Mail your Application for Graduation along with your audit to the Academic Records and Registrar Office at State Fair Community College, 3201 West 16th Street, Sedalia, MO 65301 or fax it to (660) 596-7472 or bring the application form and your audit by your local campus office.
STEP 4: REQUIRED EXIT EXAM
If you are completing an AA, AS, AAT, or AAS degree, you must also be registered for the required exit exam. You will automatically be enrolled in this when your Application for Graduation is processed and your account will be charged $16.50 for the cost of the exam. If you have previously taken the Exit Exam for another degree, you do not need to take it again.
STEP 5: ORDER GRADUATION PACKAGE

Have you misplaced or lost your original diploma? If so, you may request a Replacement Diploma for a $20 fee. You may mail your request along with your payment to the Academic Records and Registrar Office at State Fair Community College, 3201 West 16th Street, Sedalia, MO 65301 or fax it to (660) 596-7472 or bring the form and your payment by your local campus office.
