Graduation Candidates 

If you will complete your degree (Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Science) or Professional Certificate in July 2008, December 2008, or May 2009, you will be a May 2009 candidate for graduation.  You should complete the 2009 Application for Graduation and a cap and gown order form when you enroll for your last semester of classes at SFCC.  Once your application has been approved for graduation, we will bill you $40.00 for your graduation fees and $16.00 for your exit exam fees.

Mail it to Attn: Registrar, 3201 W. 16th St., Sedalia, MO  65301 or fax it to Attn: Registrar (660) 596-7472 or bring the application and cap and gown order form to the Registrar's Office.  If you are completing an A.A. or A.A.S. degree, you must also sign up to take the required exit exam in the Registrar's Office or indicate the date/time on your application.  Dates for the exit exam at the Sedalia campus are:

                                    Wednesday, June 18, 2008             1:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Summer completers)
                                    Wednesday, June 18, 2008             5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Summer completers)

                                    Wednesday, November 5, 2008      8:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Fall completers)
                                    Wednesday, November 5, 2008      1:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Fall completers)
                                    Thursday, November 6, 2008         8:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Fall completers)

Priority date to apply for May 2009 Graduation to be considered for special SFCC awards is Friday, December 5, 2008.  The absolute cut-off to be in the Commencement program and to order a cap and gown is Friday, March 20, 2009.
