National Guard members who apply for the Tuition Assistance Program must submit their application through their unit.

Veteran’s Responsibilities
- Federal regulations require a veteran to be seeking a degree/certificate to be eligible for veteran’s benefits.
- It is very important that veterans notify the financial aid office when you add or drop classes.
- Veterans like all other students must pay their tuition, fees, and other charges by the due date. Veteran’s benefits can not be used to defer tuition and fees at SFCC. Benefits are paid directly to the veteran/student and are paid for the previous month’s attendance.
- The DVA does not pay for repeat classes.
Please understand that some classes you take may not be counted in determining a veteran's course load status. These include: continued classes which have previously been counted; repeated courses, except when the repeat is required; classes taken for audit; short courses; and courses which do not apply to a student's degree or certificate program unless they are required prerequisites.
