Electricity/Electronics
Why study electricity/electronics?
The demand for skilled technicians in industrial, commercial and installation applications in increasing at a faster rate than the number of people enrolling in training programs. This has resulted in more job opportunities being available than trained technicians ready to fill these posisitons.
At SFCC, you will develop a solid background in electrical and electronic theory, computer skills and programming. Both a one-year certificate and a two-year associate of applied science degree area available and either will provide you with hands-on experience with actual production equipment being currently used in manufacturing. Our training lab includes up-to-date equipment, such as PLCs, limit switches, photo-eyes, proximity sensors, motor starters, AC drives, motors and actuators.
