Catering Services

Check the following bullet points to make sure you have accounted for all the details when booking catering with SFCC Foodservice.

  • Make sure you have booked your room and that it is available for the time frame you need.  Call Ethelene Jagels at ext. 596-7286 and indicate any table setup needs including food tables.  The Backstage Cafe has the right of first refusal for any catered events on this campus.
  • All catering orders include paper products, china requires an additional charge of $1.00 per person, available in the student commons only.
  • Linens are available with a TWO WEEK notice, rental fees are extra, ask for details. Linens are ordered on Monday's for a Tuesday delivery every other week. Colored linens are available for an additional charge. Please call for the appropriate form to fill out on requesting linens.
  • The final number of attendees, the minimum number that will be charged, is due in the catering office no later than 72 hours in advance of the event. If the actual umber of attendees is greater, this number will be used for billing.
  • Any significant changes made within the last 72 hours of an event may result in additional charges.
  • In the event  a request is made late, a change in the request may have to be made.
  • Events cancelled after the confirmation will result in a cancellation fee. Any event cancelled within 48 hours of the event will result in a fee equal to 100% of charges incurred by our department.
  • Tax exempt organizations need to fax a copy of the tax exempt letter to 660-596-7462 and indicate attention Food Service or Julie Meyer on the cover page.  Non tax exempt, 7.6% will be added to the cost per person / final bill.
  • Non-campus affiliated group, you will be charged  10% to final bill.
  • Additional labor costs may be applied for certain events depending on additional servers needed or if booked on weekends when additional labor has to be paid specifically for that event.

Requesting Catering Services

Requests for catering services must be made at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. Please use the CATERING BOOKING FORM, to request services. Use the menus listed above for your order. After opening the form, save it to your computer's hard drive, complete it, and send it to Julie Meyer, food services director, via e-mail at jmeyer@sfccmo.edu.

An e-mail confirmation will be sent to the contact person within two working days. If you have not received a confirmation please be sure to contact the department at 596-7235.

After the event, you will receive an invoice via e-mail. Please complete the billing information and send the completed invoice to Tina Mattingly in the Business Office, via e-mail at tmattingly@sfccmo.edu.
