The Testing and Career Center offers students a variety of career services. We are dedicated to helping both the community and the student regarding education of careers and employment within the community and outlying areas. Whether a student is seeking employment or an employer is looking to hire an individual for a position, we're here for you!
The Testing and Career Center, located in room 171 of the Charles E. Yeater Learning Center, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students who wish to visit with the career counselor for an in-depth consultation should schedule an appointment by calling (660) 530-5818.
The Testing and Career Center staff regards your inquiries and counseling discussions as private and confidential. Only with your written permission will information be released to anyone outside of the counseling session except as required by law. Legal exceptions include the following:
- clear and imminent danger to you or someone else
- reasonable suspicion of child or elder abuse
- a court order
Career counseling records do not become part of student educational records. While SFCC staff members may consult with a supervisor or with one another, all staff members are ethically and legally bound to also treat that information confidentially.
