Career Services are available to help students at all points in their career development. Services include: career advising, assistance with career exploration and job searching, interview preparation, and resume writing.
We are dedicated to helping both the community and the student regarding education of careers and employment within the community and outlying areas. Whether a student is seeking employment or an employer is looking to hire an individual for a position, we're here for you!
Career Services is located in the Student Services office in the William C. Hopkins Student Services Center. Students may make an appointment by calling (660) 596-7306.
The Career Services staff regards your inquiries and counseling discussions as private and confidential. Only with your written permission will information be released to anyone outside of the counseling session except as required by law. Legal exceptions include the following:
- clear and imminent danger to you or someone else
- reasonable suspicion of child or elder abuse
- a court order
Career counseling records do not become part of student educational records. While SFCC staff members may consult with a supervisor or with one another, all staff members are ethically and legally bound to also treat that information confidentially.
