Language and Mass Communication Department

From technical to creative writing, the age of Beowulf to J.R. Tolkien, Spanish, French or Public Relations, the Language and Mass Communication Department offers a range of challenging courses designed to prepare students for the transfer institution and the demands of the contemporary workplace. Whether students select from courses available on the Web, via ITV, or the traditional classroom format, they will find attentive faculty members willing to help them one-on-one with their specific needs.           

Full-time instructors Lisa Adams, Randy Crawshaw, Erin Kaufman, Lisa Shoemaker, Cathy Clements, and Anne Homan, department chair, are available in the Yeater Building on the Sedalia campus. Jim Jantz teaches at the Whiteman Air Force Base campus.
