Darren Pannier - Head Coach

Darren Pannier has taken the reins as head coach of the SFCC Lady Roadrunners basketball program after a seven-year run as assistant to former head coach Dale Kimberling. Coach Pannier also serves as athletic director at SFCC, a position he has held for the past six years.   The Lady Roadrunners finished this season with a record of 17-13 and finished second in Region 16.  Tracy Wright was named to First Team All Region, Candice Gilbert was named to Second Team All Region and Mindi Jenkins, with a 3.77 GPA was named an Academic All-American Athlete.

Coach Pannier’s previous coaching experience includes six years at Central Methodist College and two years at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia. He is a graduate of Cape Central High School, Cape Girardeau, Mo. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Methodist University in 1990 and received a master’s degree in 1996 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He and his wife Sara have a son, Brice, and a daughter, Kiser. Sara is an assistant principal at Sedalia Middle School.

Coach Pannier is very pleased to have long-time friend Coach Kevin Bucher join the coaching staff of the Lady Roadrunner basketball program. Kevin brings a lot of enthusiasm, knowledge and desire to win to the program.

Kevin Bucher - Assistant Coach

A native of Delta, Mo., Coach Kevin Bucher comes to State Fair Community College after coaching at Howard Junior College, Connors State College, Moberly Area Community College and Northwest Missouri Community College. He also was assistant women’s basketball coach at Central Methodist University and Arkansas State University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Methodist University in 1990 and a Master of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Kevin serves as the director of the Fred E. Davis Multipurupose Center. As assistant coach he has been heavily involved in the recruitment of the women’s basketball team and assists with daily operations.
