United Way Campaign – "UN1TE: Be the one"
At the annual United Way Banquet, SFCC received:
- A Golden Award Certificate for raising more than $1,000
- A plaque for winning the education division by increasing our participation and overall contribution to the campaign
- A plaque recognizing SFCC for having the most creative campaign in the entire region!

- As of Dec. 12, we've raised $10,852.85, surpassing our $10,000 fundraising goal!
If the participation goal is met, the Executive Leadership Team will have their hair spray-dyed Roadrunner Blue!
Employee Contribution Campaign pledge cards will be distributed during the first week of October. Please return pledge cards to Lisa Oesterle, office of the Vice President of Educational Services in Heckart 816 by Oct. 25.
All participating student organizations and employees are invited to an ice cream social at the end of the campaign.
Sept. 27-28 – United Way Rummage Sale in Parkhurst Student Commons
- Preview Sale from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27
- Open to the public from 7 a.m. until there is nothing left on Saturday, Sept. 28
Oct. 1 – United for 1 Night Basketball Game (Click here to watch a video from the game)
Sacred Heart School, Sedalia 200 School District, and State Fair Community College employees unite to have fun and raise funds for the United Way. This promises to be the most entertaining basketball game in Pettis County history.
One dollar donations will be accepted for admission and other activities include:
- 50/50 raffle
- Silent auction of gift baskets
- SFCC Spirit Squad performances
- United Way Board Knock-Out Game
- Introductions of this season's Roadrunners and Lady Roadrunners

Oct. 7 - Oct. 11 – Change Wars!
Participating student clubs and organizations compete to save their advisors from a pie in the face, one penny at a time! Every penny thrown into a group's bucket is a plus; nickels, dimes, quarters and bills are all negative.
Oct. 7-8: Parkhurst Student Commons
Oct. 9-11: Yeater Lobby
The student club or organization that wins Change Wars gets to smash pies in the faces of the losing group's advisors at the Roadrunner Roast on Oct. 16.
Blue Jean Days – Employees who pledge/donate $50 or more will receive a United Way t-shirt and can wear jeans (and SFCC apparel) every Wednesday in October.
