Show-Me Best Robotics competition
State Fair Community College is partnering with area business and industry to inspire Missouri students to pursue careers in
- Technology, and
by providing opportunities for students to participate in sports-like science- and engineering-based robotics competition.
In fall 2014, SFCC in coordination with BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology), a non-profit organization committed to promoting these career paths nationwide, will provide the only competition hub in the state of Missouri for middle-and high-school age students.
Why is participation in BEST important? Because our nation needs a workforce with skill sets in these types of careers to help meet real-world challenges now and in the future.
Students involved in BEST become competent and confident in:
- Abstract thinking
- Self-directed learning
- Project management
