What are your results in building your key collaborative relationships?
In 2005, the SFCC Foundation began the Power to Transform capital campaign. To date, this campaign has increased foundation assets to more than $9 million. A campaign to benefit the Lake of the Ozarks extended campus site has collected more than $125,000 in scholarship monies for students. These donations came from local businesses and individuals who support the SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks presence and its initiatives.
Community support for the college ranks high with SFCC’s property tax rate being the highest in Missouri. Many of the college’s facilities on the main campus have been funded by private donations.
SFCC’s Business and Technology Center serves more than 65 businesses and organizations bringing in grant funds into the community of more than $1 million annually. Last year nearly 8,000 area employees received training through these funds and 220 new jobs were created from an additional grant of $838,000.
