Lady Roadrunners Defeat St. Louis Community College
The Lady Roadrunners traveled to St. Louis Jan. 10 to take on the St. Louis Community College Lady Archers in a Midwest Community College Athletic Conference game. SFCC (13-4, 1-1 in MCCAC) picked up a 61-48 victory.
“Our guards played really well,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Bucher. “Sannayiah Johnson had one of her better games and Adella Randle-EL had a really good ballgame. Antoinette Taylor also played well. Our speed, quickness and pressure were much better. We were able to get some steals.”
Johnson led three Lady Roadrunners in double-figure scoring with 15 points. Randle-EL contributed 14 points, pulled down a team-high seven rebounds and registered a team-leading three steals. Randle-EL also dished out a team-high five assists and Taylor added 12 points.
SFCC will return to Region XVI play Jan. 16 when the Lady Roadrunners take on the Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds in Moberly. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
