Cheyenne Williams makes college choice
Lady Roadrunners sophomore forward/center Cheyenne Williams has signed a national letter of intent to play next season for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR), a Division I school in the Sun Belt Conference.
“When I went on my official visit to UALR, I fell in love with it,” said Williams. “I already felt comfortable with the coaches, and when I got there I got to meet the players and understand how they play. I saw one of their workouts and where they train, and it just felt right.”
Williams transferred to SFCC from the University of San Diego. She averages 6.6 points per game and pulls down a team-leading 5.2 rebounds per contest. Williams also registers a team-high 1.6 blocks per game.
“The University of Arkansas at Little Rock likes her ability to step outside and shoot the ball, as well as her skill as a strong post player inside,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Bucher. “It’s an opportunity for them to get a multi-faceted post player who continues to improve.”
