Roadrunners Defeat Pirates
The Roadrunners hit the road Nov. 22 to take on the North Central Missouri College Pirates from Trenton. SFCC (3-6) emerged with a 98-85 victory.
The Roadrunners took a 44-39 lead into halftime. SFCC stretched the lead to 19 points at 88-69, their biggest advantage of the game. SFCC outscored North Central 54-46 in the second half to claim the victory. The game consisted of the only one lead change and two ties.
Sophomore wing Antonin Galaya led five Roadrunners in doubles figures with 20 points. Sophomore guard Alfonzo Houston contributed 18 points. Sophomore guard Fred Wilson added 16 points. Freshman guard Kenny Chery and freshman wing Lucas Kidane recorded 14 points each. Sophomore forward Michael Bradley pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds. Wilson also contributed a team-leading six assists. Chery added four assists in the game. Sophomore forward Ayo Ojo registered a team-high two blocked shots. Wilson and Houston tied for the team lead in steals with two apiece.
