Jamie Buehrig Signs with Lady Roadrunners
SEDALIA—The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners have signed their first student athlete for the 2011-2012 school year.
Jamie Buehrig, a 6’2” center from Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis, averaged a double double with 14.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, leading the team in both categories. Buehrig helped the Cavaliers to a 15-11 record her senior year. She also registered 24 blocked shots on the season, just under one per game, while playing for Head Coaches Matt Bolger and Mary Kay Brandt.
“I visited other community colleges around St. Louis,” said Buehrig. “When I heard about SFCC, I kind of underestimated it. When I visited the campus, I really liked the feel of it; I liked the people and the school as a whole.”
Buehrig earned second team all-conference honors in 2009. She earned first team all-conference honors in 2010, as well as Prepcast Player of the Game honors.
She also was on the honor roll throughout her high school academic career. Buehrig is the daughter of Eugene and Jennifer Buehrig.
