Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, Feb. 9th for Club Night at SFCC. The SFCC Roadrunners will host North Arkansas Community College in our 4th Annual Pink Zone Night. Pink Zone is a national event that college basketball teams participate in to raise breast cancer awareness and also money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Kay Yow was a long-time women’s basketball coach who lost her battle to breast cancer. The past few years the SFCC athletic department has made a nice donation to the fund and we hope to continue this tradition again this year.
The athletic department will be selling pink t-shirts for $10 beginning Jan 22. The Spirit Squad will hold a bake sale on the 9th in Yeater and a silent auction will be held at the games that night. Among the donated items from this community, we will have several autographed basketballs in the auction and a PINK basket of goodies donated by the SFCC bookstore. All proceeds will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund on behalf of State Fair Community College.
We’d love to have a large “pink” crowd at the games and ONE lucky winner will receive the PINKED award! So buy a shirt, be creative and hope to see you all at the game!
And anyone who wears PINK that night will get a FREE bag of popcorn!!!
See YOU at the game!
