TyJae Chenevert Signs with the Lady Roadrunners

The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners have announced the addition of another student-athlete who will join the team in 2010-2011.

Richmond, CA John F. Kennedy High School



Chenevert averaged a double-double 17.2 points and 11.4 rebounds as a senior at John F. Kennedy High School. She also contributed four blocks and a steal per game.  Chenevert was a four-year letter winner, and three-year starter on the hardwood. She helped lead her team to the North Coast section playoffs in 2008-2009. Chenevert earned team MVP honors twice in her career. She was also voted Best Senior Women's Athlete

and the Gooden Family Scholarship Foundation Graduate.


Chenevert also lettered in softball and track and field. She helped lead her team to the North Coast section playoffs in 2008-2009.

"TyJae is an athletic post player, who had an outstanding high school career. We need muscle to come in and shore up our inside game and Ty Jae brings that to us. I am excited to have her as a Lady Roadrunner," said Head Coach Kevin Bucher


Chenevert is a true student-athlete making the honor roll all four years in high school. She plans to major in Sports Management and Kinesiology.
