L 57-44 |
The Roadrunners saw their six-game winning streak come to an end on Jan. 20 when they dropped a 57-44 decision to Region 16 foe Moberly Area Community College. Moberly scored the first basket of the game to take a lead that they would never relinquish.
The Roadrunners (14-6, 1-1 in Region 16) struggled with getting the basketball to drop in all evening. State Fair had numerous opportunities to shoot the ball but only shot 29.6 percent in the first half from the field and trailed 27-21 at halftime. The offensive struggles would continue in the second half, and the Roadrunners shot 25.4 percent for the game.
Sophomore Dominic Williams led the team in scoring with eight points. Williams and freshman Filip Toric tied for the team lead in rebounds with six.
"We’ve got to be ready to come to practice tomorrow and work on getting better,” said Head Coach Dale Ribble. “Tonight we were not very good."
